Friday, March 10, as part of the 28th edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema (March 2–12), the celebrated annual festival that exemplifies the variety and vitality of contemporary French filmmaking, we've partnered with UnifranceFilm at Lincoln Center, and The Gotham Film and Media Institute to bring you the free talk Queer Identities On Screen, followed by a cocktail.

This special panel conversation will bring together French and American filmmakers whose work grapples in real-time with urgent questions around LGBTQIA+ representation, centering on and celebrating queer identities with great nuance while thoughtfully interrogating the social and political realities that their characters must navigate.

Moderated by Yoruba Richen, director, producer, and founding director of the Documentary Program at CUNY, and featuring directors Florent GouëlouThree Nights a week (Venice 2022, Rendez-Vous with French Cinema 2023); Christophe HonoréWinter Boy (TIFF 2022, Rendez-Vous with French Cinema 2023); Vuk Lungulov-KlotzMutt (Sundance 2023, Berlinale 2023); Georden West Playland (Rotterdam 2023).
