SYNOPSIS

France (Fanny Ardant), in her sixties, lives alone in her bourgeois apartment in eastern Paris. When she hears on the radio about an association that connects homeless refugees with people who can offer them shelter, she picks up the phone to volunteer. A few days later, Reza (Nawid Elham), a 20-year-old Afghan man, broken by war and exile, arrives in her life. These two individuals, who have nothing in common, must learn to live together…

The film is an adaptation of Benoit Cohen's book, Mohammad, My Mother & Me, which recounts his own mother’s experience welcoming an Afghan refugee into their home.
